Power supply 2 — Connect power to IEC power connector 2 (see Rear Panel

Fan 1 — Turns on when either power supply receives power.

Fan 2 — Turns on when either power supply receives power.

USB configuration port — If desired, connect a host device to the front panel USB
mini-B port for configuring the enclosure.
NOTE: This port allows communication to the enclosure and the boards.

LCD screen — The screen displays messages, menu information, and selections (see
Menus, Configuration, and Adjustments on page 16).

Reset LED — The LED blinks when the Reset button is held down.

Reset button — This button is used to reset the enclosure to any one of four different
states. The LED indicates the status during the procedure. Refer to the Resetting the
PowerCage 401 Enclosure with the Reset Button for details on the next page.
NOTES:
• Pressing the Reset button only affects the enclosure and not the slot devices.
• The factory configured passwords for all accounts on this enclosure have been
set to the enclosure serial number. In the event of a complete system reset, the
passwords convert to the default, which is no password (see
Passwords on
page 43 to change a password).

Menu navigation button — Press Menu to access the PowerCage 401 menu system
(see Menus, Configuration, and Adjustments ).

Next navigation button — From each menu press Next to step through submenus
(see Menus, Configuration, and Adjustments ).

Horizontal adjust knob ( ) — Using the menu system, rotate this knob to scroll
through the menu and to make any adjustments (see Menus, Configuration, and
Adjustments ).

Vertical Adjust knob ( )— Using the menu system, rotate this knob to scroll
through the menu and to make any adjustments (see Menus, Configuration, and
Adjustments ).
