GEARS

Inspect the gear dogs, dog holes, and gear teeth on each

gear for damage and excessive wear.

Inspect internal splines by placing the gear in position on

it’s respective shaft and trying to rotate the gear in either
direction. There should be little to no rotary movement
between the gear and shaft.

Measure the internal diameter of smooth bore (with

bushings) gears.
