Codec (Codec LongGOP)
Description Algorithm used to compress and decompress the video signal.
With LongGOP codecs, the compression techniques are
performed relative to information contained within the current
frame, but also to information relative to other frames in the
group of pictures (GOP).
Values XDCAM HD 50
Bitrate
Description Number of megabits processed per second (Mbps).
The bitrate depends on the codec.

Horizontal Res. (HD)
Description Number of white-to-black and black-to-white transitions that
can be seen from the left to the right of the picture (pixels).
The setting value depends on the selected video standard and
on the codec.

Recorded Lines (SD)
Description Number of lines recorded from the top to the bottom of the
picture.
