Firmware Upgrade 

To navigate to the 

Firmware Upgrade 

page: 

1.  Click on the 

+

 next to 

System

 

2. Click on 

Firmware Upgrade

 

To upgrade the firmware on the EX24000 Switch, a TFTP server is required. The firmware 
file for the EX24000 is in a .TGZ format. This is a compressed file; however, it does not need 
to be decompressed before updating the EX24000. 

To update the firmware on the EX24000 Switch (see 

Figure 11

): 

1.  Copy the firmware file to the correct directory for your TFTP server. The correct 

directory depends on your TFTP server settings 

2.  Enter the filename of the firmware in the 

Filename

 text box. 

3.  Enter the IP Address of your TFTP server in the 

TFTP Server IP

 text box. 

4.  Click on the 

Upgrade

 button. 

5.  During the firmware upgrade you will see the following messages. Do not reboot or 

unplug the switch until the final message is received.
