Storm Detect 

This feature allows the user to regulate the reception rate of broadcast and multicast packets 
on a port-by-port basis. This setting can be useful in allowing a user to prevent a switch port 
from being overwhelmed with broadcast or multicast traffic (see 

Figure 26

). 

 

To navigate to the 

Storm Detect

Enabling Storm Detect Configuration (Global) 

To globally enable the 

Storm Detect Configuration

 feature of the EX24000 Switch (see 

Figure 26
