4.10 Machine Check
WARNING
Ensure that NO body parts (hands, arm and head) can touch the edges of the fluxer
cover while closing it. Danger of injury!
WARNING
Inside the machine:
•
Do NOT touch chain anywhere close to the cogwheels while the conveyor is run-
ning. Do NOT touch the angle adjustment while the angle adjustment is activ.
•
Do NOT touch the pulleys on the solder pump drive.
Danger: Fingers can get crushed!
CAUTION
The gap sizes at the angle adjustment are changing with the angle. Therefore edges
of moving parts must NOT be touched during the setting. Danger of bruising for
hands and fingers!
1. The machine is placed at the chosen position.
2. Measure the distance between floor and chromium steel body (base in case of adjust-
able feet) and set this distance to:
CIG 300 compact, CIG 400 comapct: about 70 mm.
CIG 500 compact about 20 mm.
3. Align the
bodies
horizontally using the adjustable feet!
4. Check whether the wave formers are aligned exactly horizontal or not. They can be ad-
justed by thread bolts (Chap. 6, item no. 4507). The front side must be a little bit lower
(about 0.5 mm).
5. Align the
conveyor rails
parallel and horizontally using the adjusting screws.
6. Check the angle adjustment in the MIS Function Mode.
7. Check the conveyor rail distance:
CIG 300 compact 355 mm
CIG 400 compactX 455 mm
CIG 500 compact 555 mm
8. Check the distance of the
wave formers
:
Chip wave:
Distance from upper edge of nozzle to solder jobs bottomside should be
about 13 mm.
Lambda wave:
Distance from vertex of the wave former up to solder jobs bottomside
should be about 6 mm. Setup with thread bolts (Chap. 6, item no. 4507). Ensure uni-
form adjustment of the front and rear thread bolts.
9. Check the
wave gap
of the chip wave. about 1.5 to 1.8 mm
Caution: Check once again at operating temperature of the solder.
