8.7.1.8 Removing Air from the Fluxer System
Place a paper or cloth towel on the flux
nozzle.
Press the button "Manual" at the flux pump,
set a desired pump capacity with the +key
and allow the pump to run, until no more air
bubbles can be seen in the flow meter in-
spection glass.
Then, remove the paper or cloth towel.
Start the pump once again until fluxer
sprays uniformly.
With the reversing toggle switch below the
pump head, the direction of rotation of the
pump can be changed to pump back flux in
the system, if required, back into the flux
container.
If the plant has not been used for a pro-
longed period, wash the system with clean-
ing agent and then, open the pump by
swinging the lever on the topside of the
pump to the left to pressure-relieve the
hose.
Further, care must be taken that the hose
pressure rollers in the pump are not dirty
and run smoothly.
