3.4.5 MULTI-POINT CALIBRATION
3.4.5.1 General
At a minimum, the device should consist of a dilutor, a certified NO
2
cylinder (accuracy 2 %), and a
zero air generator. Figure 3-7 shows an example of a typical calibrator.
The gases will be applied at atmospheric pressure to the
sample inlet
of the analyzer.
The analyzer calibration requires the generation, additionally to the zero, of six gas concentrations
(e.g., 15 %, 30 %, 45 %, 60 %, 75 %, and 90 % of the full scale of the range used). The dilution air is
the same as the zero air.
It is recommended that the analog output of the analyzer be recorded for data acquisition and
processing.
