Connect the analog output (refer to Table 3-1 ) of the analyzer to the recorder. Use the recorder
response to calibrate the analyzer as described below.
Connect the sample inlet of the analyzer to the manifold of the dilution system.
Adjust the dilution system so that it generates a total flow rate of zero air greater than 20 % of the
sample flow rate of the analyzer.
Generate zero air. Wait for the measurement to stabilize (recommended timing is 1800 sec.).
Write down the «Z
NO2
» value from the screen. This value is stated as percentage of maximum
response of the recorder (e.g., 400 mV/10 V = 4 %).
Carry out the adjustment of the calibration coefficient according to the procedure described in
section 3.4.3 “Checking of one scale point”.
To calculate the value of the generated span, use the following calculation:
