Check that the lock nut and floating nut move freely. 

6.

 

Apply a small amount of copper slip or grease to the mounting thread. This 
prevents binding and helps ensure a good grounding is maintained with the 
stack. 

7.

 

Refit the sensor unit to the ductwork (ensure the lock nut is fully tightened). 

8.

 

Ensure that the sealed connectors are secure and undamaged. 

9.

 

Inspect the connecting cables (where possible), ensure that these are not 
damaged or stressed. 

10.

 

Check that no moisture or foreign bodies have entered the sensor unit 
enclosure. Ensure that the lid is securely refitted.
