probe rod [6] points slightly down into the stack, allowing condensate to
drain off.
3. Weld a suitable earth stud or bolt to the stack wall and connect the
grounding strap (supplied with earth stud [7] and fitted on the rear of the
enclosure) between sensor enclosure [1] and stack wall [9].
NOTE
The strap should be long enough to allow the sensor to be removed
from the stack and put on the ground during maintenance without
detaching.
4. Insert the probe [6] into the socket and secure it with the floating nut [4].
5. Ensure the sensor unit is upright with the cable entry glands at the bottom
and adequately supported when tightening the floating nut [4].
Ensure that the sensor probe does not reach the opposite duct wall.
6. Tighten the lock nut [3]. When tightening the lock nut [3], ensure the
floating nut [4] is held securely with a wrench.
NOTE
This must provide a good electrical connection between the sensor
and ductwork
– hence PTFE or other insulating tapes must
NOT be used!
Proceed to connecting and setting up the sensor (see section
5.3
below).
