5 Sensor Installation

When setting up the system, ensure that the settings in the control unit match
those in the sensor (see

SECTION

on page 24).

•

The default mode is

ASCII

: 19200 Baud, No Parity, 1 Stop bit, ASCII mode

(7 bits). The settings are shown in [1] below.

•

RTU

is a faster communications protocol but is not available for all devices.

If RTU mode is required, set the DIP switch as shown in [2] below.

Comms mode

Refit the sensor cover lid and secure it with four screws.

Do not over-tighten

the screws.
