10.7.1 Write protection via access code
The effects of the customer-specific access code are as follows:
• Via local operation, the parameters for the measuring device configuration are write-protected
and their values can no longer be changed.
• Device access via the Web browser is protected, as are the parameters for the measuring device
configuration.

Defining the access code via local display
1. Navigate to the
Define access code
parameter.
2. Define a max. 4-digit numeric code as an access code.
3. Enter the access code again to confirm the code.

The -symbol appears in front of all write-protected parameters.
The device automatically locks the write-protected parameters again if a key is not pressed for 10
minutes in the navigation and editing view. The device locks the write-protected parameters
automatically after 60 s if the user skips back to the operational display mode from the navigation
and editing view.

Parameters which can always be modified via the local display
Certain parameters that do not affect the measurement are excepted from write protection via the
local display. Despite the defined access code, these parameters can always be modified even if the
other parameters are locked.
