11.1.3 Group VERIFICATION SENSOR
The VERIFICATION SENSOR function is part of the Fieldcheck menu. Configuration of the test run
is completely menu-guided.
Preparing for the test run

Isolation test
You can select or deselect the isolation test with a high-voltage pulse for all sensors. The energy
content of the HV pulse is smaller than 0.04 mJ. The HV isolation test is not available for the remote
version of Promass with a cable length of more than 20 m.
Fieldcheck saves the sensor's verification data under a separate storage number.
If transmitter and sensor verification are run immediately after each other on a measuring device,
you can combine these verification data in a verification certificate in FieldCare. This certificate will
cover four pages if printed out.
Function group APPLICATION REFERENCE DATA (ARD)
If an identical status is expected for a measuring point either continuously or periodically, you can
record application reference data for these periods. A status is determined by fluid, temperature,
pressure and the measuring tube (full/empty). In some cases, the size and trend of individual
measured values can point to unwanted effects such as deposit formation in the tube, corrosion or
abrasion.
At least three verification runs, over a time period appropriate for the application, are necessary to
obtain substantive information. Analysis takes place using the data stored in FieldCare.
The sensor test box must be removed and the measuring device put into operation before the
application reference data can be recorded. Generally, you can record application reference data at
any time. However, because a measuring device must be in perfect working order before you can
record these data, it is better to do it as the final process of a measuring point check.
