Group SIMULATION
Please note the following:
• In contrast to Coriolis or electromagnetic flow measuring devices, a gap-free flow range 0 – Q
max
cannot be simulated with vortex flowmeters. Below a certain fluid speed (approx. 0.15 m/s for
water), the amplitude of the vortex signal becomes so small that it is no longer possible to record
the measured value. For this reason, when setting the simulated flow, the values 0, the smallest
flow Q
min
and the largest flow Q
max
are displayed.
• The flow value actually simulated can deviate slightly from the value entered in the FLOW 1
function. The value actually simulated is displayed on the first line in the HOME position of the
Fieldcheck local display.

• Operation mode GAS/STEAM: 0, Qmin to 70 m/s

Note!
• For the simulation of a calculated mass flow, the system uses the value specified by
the flowmeter in the OPERATING DENSITY function.
• For the simulation of corrected volume flow, the system uses the values specified by
the flowmeter in the OPERATING DENSITY and REFERENCE DENSITY functions.
