Advanced Tab
The
Advanced
tab allows you to modify the more advanced aspects of the radio's operation.
The following tables describe the settings found in each group in the
Advanced
tab.
Protocol Settings
Field Name
Description
Wireless link rate
The rate at which data is transmitted over the radio's wireless link.
ENCOM serial radios support a wireless link rate of 76.8 kbps (kilobits per
second).
Hopping interval
This option specifies the rate at which the radio hops from one frequency
to another (within the configured
).
This option is only shown when the radio is operating as a master.
Remotes will automatically follow the master radio's hopping interval.
Packet size
The optimum packet size calculated by the radio.
If the
Buffer mode
setting in the
tab is set to
High
throughput
, the radio will attempt to collect the specified number of
characters before transmitting the data over the wireless link.
