Disabled
Sleep mode is disabled, and the radio is
available at all times
Low current mode
This option is only available for master
radios.
If no data has been received for more
than 100 Hop Intervals, the radio will enter
a low current mode.
The radio will return to its normal
operating mode when it detects activity on
its serial port or FSK connector, or on its
wireless link.
While in low current mode, the master
radio will transmit one 'sync' packet for
every 10 hop intervals to maintain system
synchronization.
In between the 'sync' packet
transmission, both the master and
associated repeater and remote radios
will turn off most of the their internal
circuitry to save power.
There is no major performance penalty
when operating in low current mode.
Network latency and throughput can be
maintained at a level close to that of the
normal operating mode.
When the
Low current mode
option is
selected for a master radio, the sleep
mode setting for all of the repeaters and
remotes in the master's network should
be set to
Disabled
.
Wakeup on
received data
This option is only available for remote
radios.
If no data has been received for more
than three seconds, the radio will turn off
most of its internal circuitry to save
power.
The radio will wake up when it detects
activity on the serial port or FSK
connector, or when the RTS line is
