This option controls the DCD (Data Carrier Detect) output to the device
connected to the serial port.

Always on
The radio's DCD line is always asserted.
Always on (T1 & T2
active)
The radio's DCD line is always asserted.
The
Carrier on delay (T1)
and
Carrier
off delay (T2)
times are used to prevent
fragmentation of messages.
The frequency hopping technology used
by PULSE radios can lead to
fragmentation of messages (small delays
are introduced between the characters of
a message). Some devices, such as
older traffic controllers, cannot tolerate
these delays.
The
Always on (T1 & T2 active)
option
allows the radio to address the issue by
delaying the transmission of the first
characters in a message so that the
entire message is sent in one packet.
The following diagram shows the effect of
using the
Carrier on delay (T1)
on the
characters that are received by the
