Is O-ring installed properly on the bottom of the service valve? (If Not

Pump out rod. Is it fully extended with a minimum pump pressure of
50 bars?

Is the connecting rod washer in place?

Released pressure from pump and disconnect hoses?

Screw connecting rod into plug until it stops?

Re-connect hoses. Open head valve. Hold up hammer nut and pump
(20-50bar) in “retrieve” mode until the retrieval tool seats on the
service valve?

Is retriever hammer nut tightened with plastic/brass hammer?

Is Pump pressure at 100 bars over line pressure?
This section relates to pressure above approx 5000psi only
a.
Close head valve on retriever
b.
Release pressure on the pump
c.
Mount a quick connection nipple to the bleed-off valve
d.
Remove the hydraulic hose (furthest away from the pipe) from
its normal position on the retriever, and mount it on the
bleed-off valve
e.
Open the bleed-off valve and set the pump to install
f.
Use the pump to fill the Retrieval tool cylinder and the service
valve full with hydraulic oil. Add max. 50 bar of pressure (this acts
as a pressure test and will ensure a controlled retrieval of the
plug)
g.
Close the bleed-off valve
h.
Release pressure on the pump
i.
Disconnect the hydraulic hose and connect it to its normal
positions
j.
Set pump to install
k.
Open head valve. Top up pressure (according to step 19)
Remember to top up the oil level in the pump after each operation where this is required

All locking pins loosened to flush of the access fitting? (If excessive
force is needed to loosen locking pin- stop and check troubleshooting
guide Note 3.)

Are the service valve handles fully open?
Is bleed off valve on retrieval tool closed?
Are by-pass valves closed on the service valve?
