Hydraulic Retrieval Tool

Assembly:

Assembly will be done in the reverse order of disassembly. Additional key points for the assembly will
be the following:

1. Make sure to place the by- pass stem seals in correct order

2. All O-rings are to be lubricated when installed

3. The tightening torque for the 8 main bolts (18) is 165 Nm.

Pressure testing of retrieval tool and service valve after reassembly

It is required to perform a pressure test after reassembly of a hydraulic retriever or a service valve.

If the equipment is shipped from/to an Emerson workshop for the service assignment, the pressure
tests can be performed at this workshop.

Parts needed to perform the pressure test:

-  Blind plug with hydraulic quick coupling, for the access fitting side of the service valve
-  Blind plate for the retriever side of the service valve
-  Hydraulic pump

4.5

Biennial Inspection

It is advised that the retrieval tool and service valve gets a full inspection every second year according
to Roxar procedures. The tool will undergo a complete inspection, with replacement of all seals and
shell strength test together with fully functional test at maximum working pressure.

4.6

Spare parts

The  following  parts  will  be  available  as  spare  parts  for  the  hydraulic  retrieval  tool  and  service  valve.
Note  that  some  of  the  parts  come  different  materials  (like  seal  kits),  and  this  needs  to  be  clarified
against actual before anything is replaced. Other parts, including repair and re-certification of the tool,
will be available on request. Please contact Roxar for more information.
