Using Logs

Hardware Log

The Hardware log displays information on FRUs that have been
inserted and/or removed from the director.

Figure 6-4

Hardware Log

Each log entry includes the following:

Date/Time

— Date/time of the insertion or removal of the FRU.

◆

FRU

— Name of the inserted or removed FRU.

• FAN — Fan module
• PWR — Power supply module
• CTP — Control Processor
• SBAR — SBAR card
• BKPLNE — Backplane
• FPM — 1 Gb port card with longwave or shortwave LC

transceivers

• UPM — 2 Gb port card with longwave or shortwave LC

tranceivers

— Slot position in the chassis relative to identical

components installed.
