Fabric Manager
Fabric Manager Navigation Control Panel
The Fabric Manager’s navigation control panel is identical in both the
Topology View and the Zoning View.
The View Icon
Use the View icon to select the Fabric Manager’s Topology or Zoning
views.
The Configure Icon
The Configure icon’s pop-up menu displays three options. For
details regarding these three options, refer to the Chapter 4, Fabric
Zoning.
• Zone Sets — Use this option to activate a zone set and to create,
modify, delete, copy, find, replace, and view zones, zone
members, and zone sets. Refer to Configuring and Managing
Zoning on page 4-6.
• Deactivate Zone Set — Use this option to deactivate the currently
active zone set. This option is necessary if you do not want to
replace the currently active zone set with another zone set.
(Replacing the currently active zone set with another zone set
automatically deactivates the zone set that had been active.) Refer
to Activate/Deactivate Zone Sets on page 4-22.
CAUTION
!
EMC strongly discourages deactivating the active zone set,
because it can lead to the crashing of all servers connected
through the Connectrix.
• Default Zone — Use this option to enable or disable the default
zone as the active zone for the fabric. Refer to Enable/Disable
Default Zone on page 4-28.
EMC recommends leaving the default zone at the factory setting of
Disabled.
