Configure E-Mail Dialog Box
The SMTP server address and E-mail addresses must be 64 characters or
fewer.
2. Enter an IP address or DNS host name for your Simple Mail
Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server.
3. Enter up to five E-mail addresses for personnel who should be
notified automatically of system events.
4. Check the Enable E-Mail Event Notification check box to enable
E-mail notification. This will enable E-mail notification for all
Product Managers if E-mail notification is enabled through each
Product Manager’s Enable E-Mail Notification option. If the
Enable E-Mail
check box is not checked, E-mail notification is
disabled for all Product Managers.
5. Click Activate to confirm the information that you have entered.
6. Click Close to close the dialog box.
Test Remote
Notification Use the test remote notification feature to test the call-home feature
and the current configuration parameters for the E-mail notification
feature.
E-Mail must be configured with the correct SMTP and E-Mail addresses.
Once you have run the test, you should call the call-home recipient or
the E-mail recipient to confirm that a message was received.
