Setting the ED-1032 Network Addresses
MAC Address
Set the ED-1032 MAC address at the operator panel. Use the address
obtained from the network administrator.
CAUTION
!
The MAC address should never be changed for any reason unless
specified to do so by EMC Technical Support personnel.
1. Press Advance until the MAC address appears on the status
display:
The default MAC address is set at the factory and is usually not
changed. The address is always in the form xxxxxxxxxxxx, where
each xx is a hexadecimal pair. Each x indicates an integer value in
the range 0 through 9 or A through F.
2. Press Clear to activate the cursor over the right-most two digits.
3. Press Detail to increment to the desired value. To increment digits
rapidly, hold down the button for more than a second.
4. Press Entry to enter the new value.
5. Press Clear to move one field to the left.
6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for all fields to be changed. (Repeating
step 5 is not necessary after changing the left-most field; pressing
Entry
after changing that field saves the new MAC address.)
