Apply a 22 kHz CW signal at an input level of +60 dB(µV) (1 mV) to the EM-
2115 RF Input connector.
c.
Peak the Signal Generator for a maximum indication on the front panel analog
meter, the digital meter should in60 dB(µV) ±2.0 dB. If not, adjust the in-
put signal level. This is the reference point for the following procedure.
d.
Tune the Signal Generator to the 1st IF frequency for Frequency Range 1, 175
kHz.
e.
Increase the Signal Generator output level by 30 dB. Tune the Signal Generator
for a peak indication on the analog meter of the EM-2115.
f.
Subtract the digital meter reading from the +60 dB(µV) reference indication and
add 30 dB to the difference. This figure will be the IF Rejection for the Frequency
Range selected.
g.
Repeat Steps b thru f for the mid-frequency points of Frequency Ranges 2-15 us-
ing the tabulated information in 3.4.8 Step g.
3.4.10 Spurious Response
Specification: No response greater than 3 dB above noise with the input terminated.

With all input signals disconnected and the RF Input Connector terminated in

, slowly tune the receiver through each of the 15 Frequency Ranges (9 kHz-1
GHz). Record the frequency and level above the sensitivity of the receiver of all
spurious responses.
