Remedy Check that the electrical supply is on, that the serial link is connected and that the
serial enable line is active.
Cause Interface connection for RS232 or RS485 not working.
Remedy Check that the electrical supply is on, that the serial link is connected and that the
serial enable line is active.
Check that the RS232 / RS485 control input is in the correct state.
Cause Incorrect baud rate and node address.
Remedy Check baud rate and, if operating in multi-drop mode, the node address matches those
of the pump.
Cause Check that the red light is not on or flashing.
Remedy If LED is on or flashing, perform the checks against the red alarm LED symptoms given
in Table: Flashing error codes on page 77 .
Fault Fail signal or standby signal not working
Cause The serial enable line is not active.
Remedy Must be disconnected or driven high for use of standby and fail lines.
Fault Yellow service LED is flashing a repeated sequence
Cause A service is necessary.
Remedy Refer to Service indicator codes on page 70 .
Fault The red alarm LED is on
Cause Normal during the software upgrade process. At other times indicates a problem has
been detected in the FLASH memory.
Remedy If during software upgrade then complete the upgrade process. Otherwise cycle power
and if this does not help then perform a software upgrade.
Fault The red alarm LED is flashing
Cause A fail condition has activated.
Remedy Note the position of the long flashes within the series of 6 flashes to work out the error
code.
Look up the flashing error code in
Table: Flashing error codes on page 77 and follow the
advice given.
Fault The pump has failed to start or stop
Cause The electrical supply has failed or the power LED does not flash.
Remedy Check that the electrical supply voltage, fuses and frequency are correct according to
the power label.
Check that the power supply cable is fitted correctly into the electrical socket.
