3.4.3 EOL-8 Bus
The EOL-8 Bus ports provide the 100 V Line output
connection to the loudspeaker loops, isolated via a
line transformer. The Sonix Eol 8 unit serves as an
interface between 350-d and field loudspeaker wiring.
100 V output signal is distributed onto both top and
bottom Eol 8 ports. As a safety feature, these cables
also incorporate a sense wire, used to monitor valid
connectivity. In the event of either of the cables
becoming disconnected the signal transmission over
both ports is aborted to prevent electric shock. The
process is automatic and reconnecting the cable will
resume the signal transmission, without the need for
user interaction.

It is recommended that within the PA/GA cabinet,the Eol-8
CAT6A cables do not exceed 15 m in length. Please consult Eaton if
further distances are required. They should also be, where possible,
routed within the PA/GA system in a separate way to avoid contact
with signal or audio cables to reduce the likelihood of interference.
Warning:
The CAT6A cables carry 100 V audio
power line; Electrical Shock Risk warning labels
must to be fitted on both ends.
Each individual amplifier connects to one set of ports
on the Eol 8 unit (no specific cable connection ordering
required), up to 8 amplifiers per Eol 8 unit. If more than
8 amplifiers are required within the PA/GA system,
additional Eol 8 units are required.
