Installation of the surface mounting enclosure

The circuit-board in the surface mounting enclosure is
connected to the SmartWire-DT network with the Smart-
Wire-DT round cable.

The SmartWire-DT round cable can be connected directly
with V-M20 × 1.5 mm (metric cable gland with integrated
strain relief) or plugged in (

“Direct connection of Smart-

Wire-DT round cable“, page 65).

8-pole enclosure bushings with a screw fixing
M20 x 1.5 mm as plug/socket versions are used for the plug-
in version (

“Plug-in connection of the SmartWire-DT

round cable“, page 66).

Connection on the PCB is performed via eight numbered and
colour-coded spring-cage terminals. This applies to the
incoming SmartWire-DT cable on the PCB side marked IN
and to the outgoing SmartWire-DT cable on the OUT side.
The SmartWire-DT round cable and SmartWire-DT enclosure
bushings have the same wire colours.
