Physical properties of the SmartWire-DT network

SmartWire-DT networks are designed for a line topology.
It must be terminated at each end with a network termina-
tion. The network termination at the gateway end is inte-
grated into the SmartWire-DT gateway, so that a separate
termination is required only at the other end of the line
(

“Using network termination“, page 93).

SmartWire-DT network cables

Use SmartWire-DT ribbon cable or SmartWire-DT round
cable as the SmartWire-DT network cable.

Flat band conductor

Each conductor of the 8 core ribbon cable has a cross-section
of 0.23 mm

cable’s conductors are listed below.
