SmartWire-DT elements

The SmartWire-DT elements complete the SmartWire-DT
system:

• Power feeder modules
• Flat band conductors and round cables
• PCB for surface mounting enclosure for plugging in

M22-SWD… function elements

• Control panel and housing bushing socket
• SmartWire-DT accessories

– Link for base or front mount
– Coupling for blade terminal
– Network terminator
– Adapter for blade terminal/round cable
– Crimping pliers

A short functional description of the passive SmartWire-DT
components follows.

Power feeder modules

Power feeder modules are power supply units that are
connected additionally to the SmartWire-DT network when
there is an increased current consumption or increased
voltage drop. Being a passive SmartWire-DT element, a
power feeder module does not have a slave address.

The power feeder module EU5C-SWD-

PF1

feeds the

24 V DC control voltage for contactors back onto the Smart-
Wire-DT ribbon cable.

The power feeder module EU5C-SWD-

PF2

feeds both the

24 V DC control voltage for contactors and the supply
voltage of approx. 15 V DC for other SmartWire-DT devices
back onto the SmartWire-DT ribbon cable.

SmartWire-DT flat band conductors and round cables

You connect SmartWire-DT elements via 8-conductor Smart-
Wire-DT ribbon cable or round cable, via which both the data
and the supply voltages are transmitted (

the SmartWire-DT connection cable“, page 80).
