Main current cables of outgoing feeder units in the fixed or
semi-withdrawable versions, are connected directly to the
equipment using cable lugs or terminals.
Attention: Outgoing main current cable connections on to
the horizontally positioned thermal relay should be made in
the order L1-L2-L3, from the bottom upwards
For outgoing feeders in the withdrawable version, the
cables are connected to the main connection-block via
recesses in the screening-plates.
This should be done as follows:
•
Remove the screening-plates by turning the quick
releases through 90°.
•
Release the terminal clamps on the main connection-
block by turning the hexagonal socket-head bolts to the
left, until they stop.
•
Tighten cables in acc. with torque indicated on main
connection -block
•
Wriggle cable to and for serveral times.
•
Re - tighten cable to the specified torque (see MBO
3034.552 B).

Remove the auxiliary connection - block
(see Figure 3-28).
•
Connect the auxiliary current by plugging in the wires.
in the version with screws can then be tightened up. A
torque of 0.3 Nm may not be exceeded.

In the version without screws the process should be
as follows:
•
A length of 8-9 mm insulation must be stripped
(Figure 2-57 ).
•
In order to keep the core together properly, the
insulation stripped off should not be removed before
being put into the clamp, but moved up slightly.
