The length of the hexagonal socket-head coupling bolts
M12 used to clamp the busbars together depends upon the
dimensions of the busbars, as shown in the table.

Parallel, air-insulated busbars
Coupling main busbars in busbar systems with parallel
busbars, takes place in the outgoing feeder cubicle above
the cable compartment. Where, for lack of space, this is not
possible, the coupling is made at the point where the two
cubicles meet, see Figure 2-42.
Attention: Place an insulating plate inthe position where the
busbar supports are normally mounted.
The connector for parallel busbars consists of two clamping
pieces. The bottom half contains four press-in nuts M12 so
that the busbars are clamped together with four hexagonal
socket-head linking bolts M12, see Figure 2-43
Note: From May 1997, all busbar connec-tions will be
located at the intersection of two panels when
extensions are carried out, (see Figure 2-28).
