2.2.2.5 Coupling main busbars
Main busbars are coupled if:
•
the assembly is longer than 4 m.
•
an existing assembly has to be extended
Maximum space allowed between the coupled busbars is
10 mm.
Single busbar systems and air-insulated busbars
Coupling of the main busbars takes place in the cubicles
for outgoing feeders, above the cable compartment.
Where, for lack of space, this is not possible, and in the
case of extensions, the link is made at the point where the
two cubicles meet, see Figure 2-40.
Attention: Place an insulating plate in the place where the
busbar supports are normally mounted.
In a single busbar system, the connectorconsists of two
clamping pieces, the upper part of which contains eight non
- threaded holes while the bottom half has eight threaded
holes M8, see Figure 2-41.
