Notice
- Power factor capacitors: Do not
connect power factor correcting capacitors to the
load side of the starter. They will cause the
starter to fail. If capacitors are used they must
be connected to the line side of the starter, at
least 10 feet upstream of the starter.
Safety
S-3
Easy-Start ES Instruction Manual
Isolated heat sink frames must be grounded with
the grounding lugs provided.
All electrical codes must be followed which may
require additional conduit and enclosure
grounding.
Danger
There can be line voltage potential at the motor
load terminals even with the starter in the off-
state. This is due to the RC snubber network
across the SCRÕs and leakage across SCRÕs.
Always disconnect input power before servicing
starter or motor.
Danger High Voltage
Do not connect any additional control circuits,
such as lamps and relays, across K2 coil (TB1-4
and TB1-12 on the logic board).
Caution
The fan control power transformer is pre-wired
at the factory (refer to Section 2). Be sure to
check compatibility to line voltage before
applying line power to the Easy-Start.
