Available Options

Special Functions: Option ÒJÓ

The board is factory set with both functions de-
activated.  The table below gives instructions on
how to activate the two functions:

Option ÒJ1Ó

This option includes the printed circuit board, plus
a door mounted ÒJAM TRIPÓ red light.

Option ÒJ2Ó

This option includes the printed circuit board, plus
a door mounted ÒUNDERLOAD TRIPÓ red light.

Options: 

Shorted SCR Detector (Hard Mounted,

not a plug-in board

Option ÒUÓ

The shorted SCR detector will operate on line
voltages from 208V to 575V ac.

There are 5 LED indicators on the Printed Circuit
Board:

POWER ON

GREEN

Ò120 Volts AC is 
applied to the 
board.Ó

SHORTED SCR RED

PHASE A

GREEN

PHASE B

GREEN

PHASE C

GREEN

In order for the three LED indicators PHASE A,
B, and C to operate, three phase line power must
be applied to the Line Terminals of the Easy-Start
ES.  The three indicators PHASE A, B, and C will
be on, whenever the SCRs are not fully on, or not
shorted.  The LED indicators will be off whenever
the SCRs are fully on, or when shorted.  During
normal operation of the starter, if full voltage is
applied to the motor, the three LEDs, PHASE A,
B, and C will be off.

If an SCR in one phase is shorted, that phase
indicator will remain off, while the other two
indicators will remain on.  If an SCR shorts, a
signal is sent to the Easy-Start ES main logic
board, which trips the Starter off line, and a red
LED is illuminated on the shorted SCR Detector
Board.

Option ÒU1Ó

This option includes the Printed Circuit Board as
described above, plus a door mounted
