Extended Start Time:
Option ÒEÓ
The printed circuit board contains three functions:
1. Extended Start Time (adjustable 0.5 to 10.5
minutes).
2. End of Ramp-Up Relay (Form-C contacts,
rating: 1 amp 120V ac).
3. Extended Time-Current (end of ramp-up D.C.
signal voltage).
These functions may be used together or
independently. The board is factory set with all
functions de-activated. DIP switch DS22, with its
2-positions, is used to activate the extended start
time and the end of ramp-up relay functions.

The third function, Extended Time-Current, is
activated by connecting a wire between the
option board (TB22-1) and the main logic board
(TB1-8). This connection activates DS2 on the
logic board at the end of ramp-up.
The Extended Time-Current feature is
accomplished by calibrating the starting current
with main DIP switch DS1, and after the motor
has accelerated to full speed, (end of ramp-up)
by calibrating the Easy-Start ES for the normal
running current, based on the settings of both
DS1 and DS2.
Option ÒE1Ó
This option includes the printed circuit board with
its three functions plus a ramp-up red light. (See
this section for option ÒEÓ and ÒE1Ó application
considerations.)
Special Function:
Smooth Stop
Option ÒSÓ
The printed circuit board contains three functions:
1. Smooth-Stop (adjustable 1 to 30 seconds
with potentiometer SS time).
2. End of Ramp-Up Relay (Form-C contacts,
rating: 1 amp 120V ac).
3. Extended Time-Current (end of ramp-up D.C.
signal voltage).
These functions may be used together or
independently. The board is factory set with all
functions de-activated. DIP switch DS31, with its
2-positions, is used to activate the smooth-stop
and/or end of ramp-up relay functions.
