•  Remplacer les étiquettes d’avertissement, de mise en garde ou d’information endommagées ou manquantes.

•  Tenir un journal d’entretien à jour sur le véhicule.

Le constructeur ne pouvant pas prévoir toutes les situations, il est indispensable que les personnes chargées de
l’entretien ou de la réparation du véhicule possèdent les compétences et l’expérience requises pour reconnaître les
situations dangereuses, que ce soit pour la personne ou le véhicule, et sachent se protéger contre elles. Faire preuve
d’une extrême prudence et si l’on n’est pas sûr du risque encouru, confier la réparation ou l’entretien à un mécanicien
qualifié.

VENTILATION

Les véhicules à essence doivent toujours être entreposés dans un endroit bien ventilé. Une ventilation adéquate
empêche l’accumulation des fumées d’essence. 

Ne jamais faire le plein ou recharger un véhicule en cas de risque de flammes ou d’étincelles. Faire particulièrement
attention aux chauffe-eau et fours chauffés au gaz naturel ou au propane.

En outre, il ne faut jamais travailler ou utiliser un véhicule dans un milieu où les gaz d’échappement ne sont peuvent
pas être évacués. Il s’agit d’un gaz dangereux qui provoque la perte de connaissance et est potentiellement mortel.
