7.11 Virtual Server
The router allows you to set up virtual servers.
If any specific local PC needs to be mapped to the
UDP/TCP port on the WAN side, you will need to input the mappings on this page.
Virtual Servers allow you to set up public services, such as a Web server, FTP, E-mail, etc. that
can be accessed by external users on the Internet. This is the same as setting up Pinholes.
Each service is provided by a dedicated network computer configured as a server with a fixed IP
address.
When packets come in from the WAN port and their destination port number matches
the Virtual Server’s ports of the router, these packets will be forwarded to the pre-defined LAN’s
IP address.
