7.2.2 Administrator
You can change the password you use to access the router management pages. The default
password is
admin
.
Note:
We strongly recommend that you change the default password. Failure to change the
default password could lead to unauthorised access to your router, network or computer.
We also recommend that you change your password often.
To change your password, e
nter
your current password in
Old Password,
e
nter
your new
password in
New Password
,
enter the new password again in
Confirm Password
and click
OK
.
The
Auto Logout
is the period of time after which the router will log out the administrator
automatically if it has been idle. The default time is 300 seconds.
7.2.3 Upgrade Firmware
You can upgrade the firmware if a firmware upgrade file is available (if it is, it will be on our
website at
www.dse.co.nz
). Click on
Browse
to select the upgrade file
(*.upg)
and click
Go
to
upgrade. The router will restart automatically when the upgrade process is completed.
7.2.4 Miscellaneous Commands
View System Event Log:
The router records all the system events such as system start,
administrator log-in/log-out, dial/hang-up, hacker intrusion event, etc... This provides the
administrator a convenient diagnostic method for troubleshooting. Click
View System Log
to
view the log. The log can also be saved. See the following page for an example of a system log.
