7.6 Access Control
The router provides lots of advanced functions such as MAC address filtering, IP address
filtering, TCP/UDP service port blocking, URL keyword blocking, virtual server, DMZ, etc.
Please note that Filtering is an advanced function and no changes are recommended without a
thorough understanding of network concepts. The
Access Control
page allows you to control
the WAN-to-LAN or LAN-to-WAN access capability of this router.
Response to Ping from WAN:
Allow or deny responses to
PING
requests to the WAN Port of
the router.
Web Management from WAN:
This feature allows the administrator to manage the router from
a remote location via the Internet. Select
Allow
and enter the
Port number
if
you want to be
able to manager the router remotely.
Block Client in LAN:
Users who have filtered IP addresses will no longer be able to access the
Internet. Select
Enable
or
Disable
and enter the desired IP address ranges.
Filter Packets from LAN:
To filter users by network port number, enter a network port number.
Users connected to the router will no longer be able to access any port number as listed. Select
Enable
or
Disable.
