5. PPPoA:
This is the most common option for using
ADSL
to connect to your ISP.
There is a list of details of any current connection. To renew the IP address, click
the Release button and then click Renew.

PPPoA Service Name:
This field is an optional descriptive field.
B.
PPPoA Account/Password:
Enter in the account username and password
in these fields as provided by your ISP.
For Ihug, the format is
user
@adsl.ihug.co.nz.
For Xtra, the format is
user
In
both instances,
user
is the user name advised to you by your ISP.
C.
Encapsulation:
Select the encapsulation type.
The
ISP will provide the
encapsulation type. The default will be PPPoA VC-Mux in New Zealand.
D.
VPI:
Enter in the VPI. The ISP defines this also. The default should be 0.
E.
VCI:
Enter in the VCI. The ISP defines this also. The default should be 100.
F.
Click
Save & Restart
to save the settings
