With the 6-port Gigabit switch on the LAN side, Vigor router provides extremely high speed
connectivity for the highest speed local data transfer of any server or local PCs. On the
Wireless-equipped models (Vigor2760n/Vigor2760Vn), each of the wireless SSIDs can also
be grouped within one of the VLANs.

Relative to tag-based VLAN which groups clients with an identifier, port-based VLAN uses
physical ports (P1 ~ P4) to separate the clients into different VLAN group.
Virtual LAN function provides you a very convenient way to manage hosts by grouping them
based on the physical port. The multi-subnet can let a small businesses have much better
isolation for multi-occupancy applications. Go to
LAN
page and select
VLAN
. The following
page will appear. Click
Enable
to invoke VLAN function.
Below is an example page in Vigor2760n:
Note:
Settings in this page only applied to LAN port but not WAN port.
Available settings are explained as follows:
Item Description
Enable
Click it to enable VLAN configuration.
LAN
P1 – P4
– Check the LAN port(s) to group them under the
selected VLAN.
Wireless LAN
SSID1 – SSID4 –
Check the SSID boxes to group them
under the selected VLAN.
Subnet
Choose one of them to make the selected VLAN mapping
to the specified subnet only. For example, LAN1 is
specified for VLAN0. It means that PCs grouped under
VLAN0 can get the IP address(es) that specified by the
subnet.
