Compressed O
2
must be free of dust and oil and must
be dry. Gas pressure must be 2.7 to 6 bar.
● Screw the O
2
hose on to the side of Savina. Connect up O
2
from the medical gas pipeline system or an O
2
cylinder.
In the case of a supply from an O
2
cylinder, the reserve gas
should be calculated. See "Expected operating time when
using an O
2
cylinder supply".
A 90
o
connector is available for the O
2
threaded
connection on the device; see order list.

cylinder supply
When using an increased O
2
concentration (greater than
21 % by vol.) Savina ventilates with a mixture of air (delivered by
a blower) and O
2
.
When using an O
2
cylinder supply, the maximum possible
operating time depends on the O
2
reserve (as well as on the O
2
concentration and the ventilation parameters).
For example:
Cylinder pressure measured at the pressure regulator on the
O
2
cylinder: 200 bar

2
cylinder capacity: 3 L

2
reserve: 200 bar x 3 L = 600 L

The device allows for the O
2
concentration of 21 % by vol. in
the air.
After an O
2
concentration is set, it takes 3 minutes for this
concentration to be reached, due to the mixing process.
The mixing process may take longer with minute volumes
less than 2 L/min.
The "O
2
high" or "O
2
low" alarm indicates that the
O
2
concentration set has not been reached within
