General introduction

8.1.1

Purpose

The system gas analyser is a complete scavenging gas analysis system for 
measurement of the gas concentration in the inspiratory branch. It measures 
O2, N2O and CO2 as well as the anaesthetics Desflurane, Halothane, Isoflu-
rane and Sevoflurane. There is no automatic recognition of the anaesthetic. 
The system gas analyser monitors the loop control function and shuts down 
the loop in the event of an error.
