6. Oscilloscope Function
Roll, Trig - Roll, Trigger
Use this function to observe the signal from the ADC unchanged.
Roll
Data in continuous waveform moves from right edge of display to left edge
of the display. This allows to observe the changes of waveform movement in
low frequency area ( like as potentiometer adjustment) . Main applications
are Transducer monitoring and Power Supply testing.
Oscilloscope does not trigger in roll mode. Roll mode operates as follows.
Step 1 : press key and select trigger mode as T’D AUTO in the
rightupper area of display.
Step 2 : check time base is 50ms/div or slower
Step 3 : press key and press Acquire key and select Roll.
Trigger
Data can be acquired when time base is 50ms/div or slower. Trigger
operates as follows ;
Step 1 : check time base is 50ms/div or slower
Step 2 : press key and press Acquire and select Trig
As shown in the illustration, peak detection mode
can detect glitch not ovserved in SAMPLE mode.
The actual applied signal to the oscillos-
cope is a 10KHz sine wave. However,
through aliasing at 5ms/div, the wave
display as about 130Hz sine wave.
Peak detect mode display higher
frequency waveforms observed in single
mode. Accordingly, reduce T/D to
observe the waveform.
