Pausing grinding (stop function)
The stop function automatically suspends grinding when you remove the
portafilter from the portafilter intake (12) and continues grinding when you
insert the portafilter into the portafilter intake again and trigger the start
button (11) .
1. Remove the portafilter from the portafilter intake during grinding to
pause grinding and stop the grinding time. The symbol for the remaining
grinding time flashes.
2. Reinsert the portafilter between the portafilter intake and the portafilter
support (7) before the abort time elapses.
The suspended grinding process is continued automatically until the
grinding time has elapsed.
The abort time is factory-set to 8 seconds and can only be
changed by a service technician.
Changing the type of espresso beans
1. Close the bean container (1) by swiveling in the sliding valve (16)
(see
Fig. D
).
2. Grind the remaining espresso beans until the grinder runs idle
(see chapter “Grinding espresso beans”).
3. Remove the leftover espresso beans from the bean container.
4. Pour the new espresso beans into the bean container.
5. Open the bean container by swiveling out the sliding valve.
6. Grind 2-3 shots to remove any residue of the old espresso beans, to
warm up the machine and to avoid any fluctuations in the dosage.
