Transport and Trick Control Modes.
The DVR-810 has the same basic recording and
playback functions of a standard Video Tape
Recorder but with a much greater level of user
control. For the purpose of this specific product
there are two modes of control. These are:
1. The Transport Controls
2. Trick Mode Controls
Essentially both the Transport and Trick Control
Modes are identical in operation. The Transport
Controls are used when the DVR-810 is in
Playback. The Trick Control Modes are used when
recording.
Chase and Chase Play
When a Trick Mode is used during recording,
the relationship between the actual real-time
recording and the time position being watched
is delayed, and is referred to as Chase or Chase
Play. Simply put, Chase only occurs when a Trick
Mode is activated and the program being watched
is delayed with reference to the real-time Live TV
recording position.
Note:
•
Chase or Chase Play does not apply to the
Playback mode of operation.
Operation of the Trick and Transport Control
Modes
The following operational steps will describe how
to use the Trick Mode controls during recording.
The same instructions apply to the Transport
Mode controls during Playback.
Due to the nature of how the video is recorded
While recording, Trick Modes can be used, for
example to, rewind to a specific time in the
program currently being recorded. The Trick Mode
controls supported by the DVR-810 include:
