DLU Process Description
Stage
What Happens
1
The new firmware image from the TFTP load host is trans-
ported across the network, and placed into a temporary stor-
age buffer in the module.
Indications that this stage is in progress include:
•
Module status — functional, but not manageable.
•
Module cannot respond to management requests.
•
LED display — The Power
LED remains on. The Module OK
LED turns off. The Redundancy Enabled LED lights.

Typical time to complete this stage — normally 1 minute.
However, due to variances in network configurations (load path,
bit rate, and traffic levels), this stage of the DLU process can take
up to 10 minutes to complete.

Stage 1 is complete.
