DHOLLANDIA
CAUTION
•
If platform opener is mounted too far in, the platform will lean too far back when it is lowered to the ground. The operator can
suffer a back injury when pulling the platform open from this position.
•
If platform opener is mounted too far out, the platform could fall over when it is lowered to the ground and could hit the limbs of
the operator or any bystanders.
•
Therefore, it is important that you adjust the platform opener so that the platform stands just inside from vertical position when
lowered to the ground, and the operator can unfold the platform sections comfortably.
•
The platform unfolding action can be adjusted by means of
the torsion assist spring(s) located towards the leading edge
of the platform and the top of the lift arms.
•
A small, M8 bolt will be located on each side (if applicable)
that holds the main platform pivot pin(s) in place.
•
Remove these bolt(s) to adjust the tension of the spring(s).
•
NOTE: the graphic depicts the LEFT side of the platform.
Setting 1 (default) The least amount of unfold assistance
Setting 2
A moderate amount of unfold assistance
Setting 3
The most amount of unfold assistance
•
After adjustment, reinstall the M8 bolt(s) and fasten to the
prescribed torque(s).
CAUTION
•
These torsion springs incorporate a significant amount of energy, and are potentially dangerous. Incorrect installation, use, or
adjustment / servicing may result in serious injury of the operator or service personnel.
•
Therefore, the tension in the bar should only be adjusted by someone who has been specifically trained to do so. It is NOT a user
serviceable part.
