The presence of salt dissolved in water leads to a decrease of the saturated concentration of dis-
solved Oxygen in mg/l, the saturation index remains unchanged. The standard UNI EN 25814 sup-
plies the correction to be made to the saturated concentration of dissolved Oxygen, by degree of
salinity, depending on the temperature.
